UV Laser Working Principle
ONSlaser UV laser marking machine adopts advanced 355nm ultraviolet cold laser technology, realizing zero thermal damage ultra-fine marking. It makes up for the processing limitations of fiber laser and CO₂ laser, and is the preferred equipment for heat-sensitive materials, transparent materials, electronic precision parts and personalized DIY engraving.
What is a UV Laser?
To produce a UV laser, the laser beam passes through two addional crystals that conventional fiber laser systems lack. First, By passing a standard wavelength laser(1064nm) through a nonlinear crystal , the wavelength is reduced to 532 nm. Then, this light is further passed through another crystal, effiectively reducing its wavelength to 355nm. As a result, UV lasers are commonly called third-harmonic generation (THG) lasers because they are the third wavelengh created. v using these lasers is called “Cold Marking,” which refers to how they can perform marking and processing with minimal heat stress.
